Welcome

  • The City of San Antonio, working closely with the military, Bexar County, Comal County, Kendall County, and other agencies and local jurisdictions, is undertaking the preparation of a Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) for Camp Bullis.

Located along the northern edge of San Antonio, Camp Bullis offers training areas that are critical to the military missions in the San Antonio area as well as the nation. The goal of the Camp Bullis JLUS is to protect the viability of current and future missions at Camp Bullis while at the same time accommodating growth, sustaining the economic health of the region, and protecting public health and safety.

    Public Involvement

Your involvement in the development of the JLUS is vital in order to ensure everyone's ideas are heard.

    Project Overview

Military installations are critical to local economies, generating thousands of jobs and millions of dollars in economic activity and tax revenue annually. In past instances, incompatible development has been a factor in the curtailment of training operations and restructuring of mission critical components to other installations. To protect the missions of military installations and the health of the economies and industries that rely on them, collaboration and joint planning between installations and local communities must occur to address encroachment.
